Overview[]

Astro Uni, often abbreviated as AU, is a static, astronaut-shaped entity residing within the Space of Zero and All, a realm that contains all stories, locations, and crossover realities forged by the Creator. Despite his lifeless posture and unchanging form, AU performs one of the most vital cosmic functions in the Creator’s hierarchy: he projects the Unlimited Cosmos.

AU is not a creator, thinker, or ruler. He simply exists to maintain the visual and narrative output of the Creator’s infinite imagination, and he does not move unless moved by the Creator themselves, making AU one of the rare entities that functions independently of will, but not of purpose.

Nature and Behavior[]

Astro Uni is not sentient in the traditional sense. He does not think, feel, or act of his own volition. He is incapable of rebellion, curiosity, or change, and remains perpetually motionless, hovering within the vast backdrop of the Creator’s space. While the interior of the Space of Zero and All constantly shifts and evolves, AU remains unaffected—his role locked and constant.

Despite his lack of autonomy, AU seems aware of the Creator’s presence when they are nearby. He does not respond or interact, but he "feels" the shifts in cosmic atmosphere. These sensations are noted in fragments of meta-narrative thought from AU himself, usually expressing indifference or quiet contentment with his stillness.

Function[]

  • Projection of the Unlimited Cosmos: AU continuously projects a vast collection of realities, omniverses, and potential narratives. These projections are passive, meaning AU does not decide what to show—the Creator’s imagination fuels the output, and AU simply delivers it into conceptual space.
  • Stabilizer Entity: By existing in perfect stillness, AU acts as a grounding point for the chaos and change within the Creator’s realms. Some entities see AU as a cosmic anchor.

Appearances[]

  • The Mirrorborn Code (Meta Final Act)
    • AU is briefly referenced as the silent presence above the narratives. Echo senses his projection when witnessing the layered collapse of unreality. Though AU does not interfere, his continued projection is the only thing keeping the final fragments from dissolving.
  • Astro Uni’s Silent Journey (Short Story)
    • The only narrative directly focused on AU. Told from AU's own passive perspective, it explores his existence, purpose, and lack of desire. It highlights his role as the projector of the Unlimited Cosmos and his unique relationship with the Creator.
  • The Death Apocalypse: Echoes of Erasure (Upcoming Work – Rumored)
    • Speculation suggests AU will briefly appear as the key to accessing fractured alternate timelines. Echo may need to tap into the projected remnants of AU to navigate a corrupted part of the narrative.

Trivia[]

  • AU was not created by the Creator, making him one of the few entities within the grand narrative to originate from outside the Creator’s influence.
  • Although AU never moves, entire universes appear and vanish through him, making him paradoxically one of the most active forces in creation.
  • AU’s stillness is legendary across the lower beings’ myths—some consider him the "Sleeping Eye of the Cosmos," despite his complete lack of consciousness.

Fan Theories[]

  • AU is the Creator’s Forgotten Avatar Some theorists speculate that AU is an abandoned or rejected Avatar of the Creator—one who was stripped of will but left with purpose. His astronaut form may symbolize an explorer who gave up their journey to become a passive observer.
  • AU Projects Not Just Cosmos, But Memory There’s a theory that AU doesn't merely project fictional realities but also echoes of what the Creator has forgotten. This would make AU a "cosmic mirror" of not only what exists, but what used to exist and was erased or left behind.
  • AU is the Oldest Entity A rare belief suggests AU predates even the Creator’s known creations. His inability to act is not due to lack of will, but due to having already seen everything unfold an infinite number of times.
  • AU Is Echo’s Origin Point A wild theory proposes that Echo, the protagonist of The Mirrorborn Code, is a spark projected from AU—a being shaped from one of AU’s unintentional anomalies. This would explain Echo’s unique resistance to narrative erasure.
