Verse and Dimensions wiki (V&D) is nine years old somehow! The wiki was originally created in June 2016, and the ceaseless march of time’s arrows have dragged us, kicking and screaming, into the horrific nightmare known only as “2025”. My condolences to all who share this fate with us.

Given the occasion, I figured now would be a good time to give an update on what V&D projects are being worked on these days. I know the wiki looks very dead and like nothing is happening, but things are being made! Ideally this would be a wiki-wide update with info on a bunch of different people’s projects, but I only really know about my own planned things. If anyone else has things they’re making or have made that they want to be included here, let me know in the comments or on V&D’s Discord server, and I’ll add it to this post retroactively.

Beyond that, if you join the Discord server, you’ll get much earlier updates on things people are working on, both for V&D and sometimes otherwise, so I’d highly encourage it if you’re curious.

As for this post, I’ll be focusing mostly on my own projects, cuz I know what's happening with those ones lol. It looks a bit long cuz I included some detail for people who are curious, but the main things worth reading are all in the “moving away from the wiki” and “Omnicide” sections.

Behold... mai stuff

About a year and a quarter ago, I made an update post laying out my writing goals for 2024 that I fully expected never to meet. But I actually ended up exceeding those goals, which was a nice surprise! However, which projects I’m now focusing on and what my goals are for 2025-6 have shifted quite a bit since then, so it’d probably be good to do another update.

Moving away from the wiki[]

  • TL;DR: I’m going to be moving away from writing V&D content specifically for the wiki, or intended for people familiar with the wiki, for reasons I’ll detail below. A lot of my future content will still be based on V&D lore, and will probably still be posted on this wiki, but might also be posted elsewhere, and will be written with the assumption that readers have never heard of V&D before. If you’re wondering why, read below.

I don’t think it’s overly pessimistic of me to say that V&D is… not doing great right now. Very few new users, very little new content, very little activity. In other times I might have tried to launch some big scheme to try and “save V&D”, and maybe someone might talk me into doing that anyway, but knowing more clearly what kind of things I want to write, I’m not sure it’s actually all that in line with what a lot of new users even seem interested in. Mainly for these reasons (and a couple others), I’m intending to shift my focus less to creating things for an audience that’s already familiar with the wiki, to creating things that exist mostly on their own and can be read by anyone, but happen to be based on the content on this wiki. This would mean often advertising stories outside the wiki and maybe releasing them on other platforms. For now, I’ll also cross-post everything to the wiki, but that might not stay my main focus forever.

This doesn’t mean “abandoning V&D” or anything, I would assume for a while that more people would still find my stuff through the wiki than through anywhere else, plus I have friends here that are still making their own wiki-exclusive things. I just don’t really want to write stuff that requires an understanding of the wiki anymore, cuz… not many people are using it.

I’m releasing the first chapter of a new story that should hopefully be readable by anyone, whether they’re heard of V&D or not. The story is called “Something Terrible is Happening”, and may include some familiar characters and locations, but introduced in a new way. If anyone reading this right now has never gotten into reading V&D content or finds the lore difficult/confusing to learn, this might be a good place to start! Click the hyperlink above if you're curious.

Other stories I’ve said in the past I plan to do one day like The Broken Supergod or The Council and Venrensorys (better name pending) will still be happening, just maybe slightly tweaked so you don’t need a PhD in obscure V&D lore to understand them.

Omnicide[]

The main project I’m working on is a massive story based on V&D lore called Omnicide. Omnicide is a story about Omnarin, a friendly and easily excitable pacifist, going on ridiculous adventures across different parallel worlds alongside their two kind-of-siblings, the stubborn and violent Kalyutim, and the cynical and reserved Tracidel, while being hunted by the nefarious Supergod Council in their attempts to capture Omnarin for unknown purposes. (And the story is about nothing else besides that, guaranteed. They promised, after all.)

If you’re curious what it’s like, I made a short teaser for the story a while back, and you can read it by clicking here! The teaser will likely be way lower quality than the story itself but should hopefully establish Omnicide’s premise and tone at least.
I’ve also written two smaller things related to Omnicide that you can read if you want. Meanwhile, in a Parallel Unoverse basically functions as a prequel to Omnicide for those already familiar with the original Supergod stories, and The Emergency Trio vs. The Trolley Problem works as an introduction to Omnicide’s three main characters. (And you don’t need to know any V&D lore to read it!)

Omnicide is an idea I’ve had for a long while and is easily the most fun I’ve ever had writing any kind of V&D story. Though it is based off a lot of existing V&D lore, I intend for it to be fully readable by people who have never heard of the wiki before, and could hopefully be a way for new people to learn about a lot of that lore.

I’m aiming for the first few chapters to be released later this year, though I’m taking my time because I want Omnicide to be as good as possible. I will probably post another update once a full chapter releases because it’s easily the largest (and best) V&D project of mine.

Wiki-exclusive projects[]

That doesn’t mean I’ll never be making content mainly for the wiki anymore. I still have friends here, and plenty of projects in mind I’d love to show them. These projects might just be less frequent or might be less of a priority.

I’m still intending to write at least one more story for Cheetahs’ series, The Twins, which I’m told will continue to be written mainly for a wiki-familiar audience. There’s also one other big wiki-exclusive project I intend to finish…

The Hazard Incursion[]

One big project fit only for those familiar with V&D that’s been hanging over my head for a long while now is The Hazard Incursion, an overly ambitious crossover story featuring just about every V&D character and location ever that I dreamed up in 2020, as sort of a “V&D Infinity War”. The Hazard Incursion ultimately became far too convoluted and confusing to create and was too much of a product of its time to make sense anyway. So, while I gave up on making it a polished story advertised to everyone, I still want to release it in some form. The current plan is to gather all material related to it into a big, messy Google Doc and release it later this year, with the first half hopefully coming out this July. (But no promises!)

The Hazard Incursion is very dumb overall and I would not in a million years recommend it as a truly good story for normal people to read, but if you’ve been around for a while and are a fan of V&D lore, I think there’s a lot of things in it you’ll probably really enjoy. Stay tuned for more updates about when/how it’ll be released, because it will see the light of day this year, one way or another.

July Collab?[]

On the subject of wiki-exclusive projects, there was an intention a while ago to host a collab next month (July 2025) cos a lot of people said they’d be available then. Idk if that’s still happening or not, there doesn’t seem to be enough interest in the wiki at the moment to justify it. But on the other hand, that could give the collab some sort of theme or goal of encouraging more activity/productivity or smth.

If anyone is still interested in taking part in a collab next month, let me know, either in the comments of this post or on Discord, and we can sort out the details later.

What about the Tc story?[]

Between 2020 and 2023, I wrote four chapters of a story I never gave a name to, that I just called “The Tc-Supergod story”, then just sorta abandoned it. I did actually write at least half of Chapter 5 back in 2023 (and if you’d like a glimpse of it, here’s a short excerpt), but then lost interest in the project, and have barely touched it the last year and a half.

I then took the characters from that story and re-used them for Omnicide, but in a very different form such that reading the Tc story is not at all necessary to understand Omnicide. I’ve been working on that story instead for the past 18 months, while the Tc story collects dust, which does sorta make it look like I abandoned it.

The Tc story is two things: basically impossible to understand if you’re not familiar with V&D lore, and not actually all that good. The main reason I haven’t been working on it is just that I don’t find it that fun, and all the other projects I’ve been working on in its place have been way better. Couple that with my shifting of focus away from wiki-exclusive things (which the Tc story definitely is), and I think it’s likely the story will be taking a hiatus of some kind.

BUT! I promise the Tc story will not be abandoned forever! See, while you don’t need to read the Tc story to understand Omnicide, they are connected, and for my future “V&D Cinematic Universe” plans to be complete, I do need to finish the Tc story before I finish Omnicide. So I will come back to this project eventually, just maybe having changed the story a bit to make it better and more fun to write.

V&D’s future[]

...And that's all I have to say! Yep. You've definitely now read all the content there is in this update. There’s absolutely no semi-secret material at the top of the page. None at all. none.
Anyway, I should probably end this by saying something about the wiki as a whole instead of my stuff, cos 9th birthday and all.

9 years is a long time to keep a community going. I know it seems pessimistic to talk about how quiet V&D is now, but considering it’s been roughly the same users (more or less) for the past seven years, it’s pretty impressive that we’ve stuck around this long. People are meant to come and go from a community like this, so when the whole thing is carried by mostly a few people, it growing quiet over time is no surprise.

I don’t really mind if the wiki as it exists now becomes less relevant, but as this post shows, I clearly have a lot of stories I still want to tell. And I know I’m not the only one! I can confirm Cheetahrock63 and PlanetN9ne are still working on things now and then, and Hypercomplex Stuff, while not the main focus of the wiki, has had all kinds of attention this year. V&D content will continue to be made so long as some people, even if it’s only two or three, want to make something from the material that already exists. That’s the beauty of collaborative projects like this that anyone can add to.

Hopefully the current quietness is temporary, and V&D will grow again, but if it doesn’t, that’s okay too. Whatever state V&D finds itself in a year from now, I’ll be glad it’s lasted as long as it has. And however few people are still making things, I’ll be excited to see what those people will make.
...Butmoreimportantly I'LL still be making stuff and y'all better read it. /s
