Godsmoke is the material that supergods are made of. It is a mixture of two parts; logically solid particles made of alom, floating in a logical gas that makes up the rest of the smoke. Each solid particle is an omnipotent-tier entity and its godverse in its own right, though they are a lot more specialised than Creators and Destroyers, each performing a single function that's important to the functioning of the supergod itself.

Godsmoke is produced in supergod eggs. These eggs are made up of solid shells, which are composed of alom, and logical gas in the center created by a large expenditure of energy from the birthing supergod (often, this expenditure is so large that this requires two or more supergods to perform). These paradoxes ablate away the shell of the supergod, and the shell fragments make up the solid parts of the godsmoke; when enough of the shell is ablated away, the godsmoke escapes the shell and makes contact with the gas of the Beyond that the egg is embedded in. A thicker shell leads to more material for the solid particles in the godsmoke and hence a larger and more powerful supergod that takes longer to hatch.

Beings composed of godsmoke have the power of omnipotence^2; this is because the multiple omnipotent-tier solid particles are able to perform direct logical manipulation that would explode individual particles without damaging the overall structure of the godsmoke; anything that would be impossible to an omnipotent can still be performed, and new particles of godsmoke will diffuse in to takes its place when destroyed.

When the energy of godsmoke is increased to too high a level, such as by continued exertion against an impossible foe or continued attempts to perform an omnipotent^3 or above action, the godsmoke can ignite into godfire, where a significant number of solid particles incandesce and break up into smaller gaseous components. A supergod can not survive very long in a godfire state at all; typically, this is what is observed moments before they die, and concentrates the lifetime abilities of the supergod into a single strike. Supergods that have survived the godfire state are permanently damaged, and can not repair from this through normal means, because the templates of entire classes of particle are lost; supergod "aging" is, in part, due to very brief, temporary entry into the godfire state that leaves the supergod weakened afterwards.
