A torus is a two-dimensional surface produced from the cartesian product of two circles. It can also be considered as a tube where the two ends are connected in a ring. It makes up the surface of a three-dimensional solid torus.
Structure and Sections[]
As the compact orientable surface with Euler characteristic 0, it is topologically equivalent to all compact orientable surfaces with one handle.
