A solid torus is a three-dimensional shape produced by the cartesian product of a circle and a disc. it can also be considered as a cylinder with the two ends connected in a loop. It occurs as the cell of the duocylinder, and can also be embedded in 3-D space.

Structure and Sections[]

In 3-D space, the torus can be sliced in two ways, and has two radii, major and minor. Sliced one way, it looks like a circle that becomes two concentric circles before going back. The other way looks like a point that becomes a circle, splits into two circles, and then reverses.
