A rhombic dodecahedron is a variation on the standard dodecahedron. The only difference is that the faces are rhombic instead of pentagonal, hence, its name. The standard rhombic dodecahedron is made out of rhombi that have diagonal lengths of 1, and √2. There is also a bilinski rhombic dodecahedron, with diagonal lengths of 1, and the golden ratio .
