A pataverse is a type of unstable -verse, partially related to virtual spaces such as metaverses or hyperverses, and sharing many features with Internal Reality, that is created through a sentient being's imagination rather than sheer processing power.

Pataverses are inherently ill-defined due to their nature; it is difficult, and often impossible, for a typical sentient to imagine the entire contents of one universe down to the particle level, so anything not imagined is "filled in" by a network of unstable laws of physics and logic. Such a phenomenon is a powerful and dangerous form of the multiversal process of blurring.

A pataverse ends when its host sentient being stops imagining it. However, from within the pataverse, this may take an infinite amount of subjective time.

They are the standard cosmology equivalent to an Imaginata. They also match the type of imaginatas that can exist in areas of the Imaginarium that are limited by information theory.
