Hyperbolic space is space that exhibits a constant negative curvature. Although it is diffeomorphic and topologically equivalent to a Euclidean space, it pertains hyperbolic geometry, which gives it very different geometrical properties (such as high order tilings).

A universe with hyperbolic geometry is known as an open universe, in contrast to a closed universe with elliptic geometry.
