The cells of a polytope are the three-dimensional constituents of said polytope, three-dimensional subfacets. The cells of a polychoron compose its boundary. Polyhedra are composed of a single cell.
Cells are the facets of a polychoron, the ridges of a polyteron, and the peaks of a polypeton.
The total volume of a polytope's cells is called its surcell volume, or just volume if it is of a polyhedron.
